We have all seen cat collars fray far too quickly from scratching. Our collars are made from PVC coated BioThane®, which maintains a smooth feel while offering exceptional durability - holding up to scratching far better than fabric or nylon collars.
To keep these collars lightweight and thin, they are not adjustable. The length requested will be the total length of the collar. A few ways to get this measurement:
1. Measure a current, well fitting collar by laying it flat alongside a measuring tape • For a quick release collar, measure only one side of the buckle to the end of the material/fabric. • For standard buckles, measure from the beginning of the material/fabric to the hole they wear it on.
2. Use a soft measuring tape to measure around their neck. Leave enough room to be comfortable - not too loose, not too tight.
3. Don't have a soft measuring tape? Use a string or other material like stated in #2 and then lay it alongside a flat measuring tape.
Our lightweight cat collars feature a black, plastic breakaway buckle - the only buckle recommended for cats to keep them safe when they get into tricky situations. These buckles will release when pressure is applied to them. This means these collars are NOT to be attached to a leash. However, we do include a d-ring for hanging a tag or bell.
The buckles are only available in black, but the screws and ring can be any hardware color listed in the options.
